Come On Spring!
Finally finished the yard work of fall this weekend. Spent 4 hours over the weekend mulching the last of the leaves, using Dan Smith's mulcher/chipper/vaccuum thing - what a wonderful implement.
Funny thing is - I could use some more leaves! We raked what we could from the front and drive side of the yard to the street ahead of the city's fall leaf pickup; what was left under the bushes out front and all the leaves from the back yard got sucked and mulched over the last two weekends (12 hours total). And the resulting mulch covered the front bed, both side areas, and the most of the rear bed. I could use some more mulch under the magnolia, but alas - (and thankfully) no more leaves.
Can't wait to see how the yard looks come spring!

Cold Water After An Exhilarating Night
November 5, 8:45am
First splash - walking into Kroger looking for New York Times - I hear on the Muzak - "Walking in a winter wonderland..."
November 5, 8:55am
Driving towards book store, a Toyota SUV passes me with a brand new, shiney white bumper sticker with blue lettering: "Impeach Obama"
So much for the honeymoon....

Distracted, distracted
Trying to focus on work and struggling to keep it on target. Lots to do and little motivation. Outside the window-white dogwood, electric neon red azalea, redbud, magnolia, and green, green grass.
Just wanting to settle in and get something done, but out to lunch....spring fever?
